These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LocalButcher mobile application and website (together, the "Platform"), operated by Tahoe Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("LocalButcher", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or placing an order on the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
LocalButcher is a technology platform that connects customers with independent, verified local butcher shops ("Partner Shops") for the sale and delivery of fresh poultry, meat, seafood and eggs. LocalButcher does not itself sell, cut, pack or own the products listed on the Platform — each order is fulfilled directly by the Partner Shop you order from, and delivered by that shop's own rider or a delivery partner engaged by LocalButcher on the shop's behalf.
2. Eligibility & Account
- You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law to use the Platform.
- You must register using a valid Indian mobile number and verify it via OTP. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login access secure.
- You agree to provide accurate delivery address, contact and payment information, and to keep it up to date.
3. Orders & Product Information
- All products are subject to availability at the Partner Shop and may be substituted, adjusted in weight, or cancelled if unavailable at the time of preparation — you will be notified and refunded for any unfulfilled portion.
- Weight-based products (poultry, meat, seafood) are cut and packed fresh to order; actual delivered weight may vary slightly from the estimated weight shown at checkout, and the final billed amount reflects the actual weight delivered.
- Product images are for representation only and may differ from the actual item due to natural variation in fresh cuts.
- By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase, which is accepted only once the Partner Shop confirms it. LocalButcher and the Partner Shop reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for reasons of stock unavailability, delivery-area limits, or suspected fraud.
4. Pricing & Payments
- Prices displayed on the Platform are set per Partner Shop and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- LocalButcher is a fully prepaid platform — all orders must be paid online via UPI, card, netbanking or wallet balance at checkout. We do not offer cash on delivery.
- Payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Cashfree Payments (India) Pvt Ltd, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. LocalButcher does not store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Wallet credit (including cashback) can be used to pay for or offset future orders and has no cash withdrawal value.
5. Delivery
Delivery timelines, service areas and delivery charges are governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation windows, refund timelines and quality-issue resolution are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Your Responsibilities
- Provide a delivery address that is accurate and accessible; be reasonably available to receive the order at the scheduled time or delivery slot.
- Not misuse the Platform, including placing fraudulent orders, abusing cashback/referral offers, or interfering with other users, Partner Shops or delivery riders.
- Not resell products ordered through the Platform for commercial purposes without our written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable care to vet Partner Shops, LocalButcher acts as an intermediary connecting customers to Partner Shops and is not liable for losses arising from a Partner Shop's acts or omissions beyond what is covered under our Cancellation & Refund Policy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalButcher's aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the value of the order giving rise to the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including the LocalButcher name, logo, app design, and text — is owned by Tahoe Technologies Private Limited or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used without prior written permission.
10. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or misused the Platform.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
